Condragulations! The "RuPaul's Drag Race" universe is coming back for more seasons.
As reported by Deadline, "Drag Race" is coming back for its 17th season, and Paramount+ has picked up "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" for season 10.
That's not all, "Drag Race" has also been renewed with its companion series "RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked."
The feeling among the show's executives seems to be if it ain't broke don't fix it. "Drag Race" has received its 9th consecutive Emmy nomination for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program this year, Deadline reports, which tied the record for most nominations in the category.
But the show's first nomination, Outstanding Choreography For Variety Or Reality Programming, came because of its spectacular choreography by Jamal Sims.
"We have to remember that we're not working with professional dancers here on the show. They're contestants, and some of them have never had dance training before," said Sims. "So, to me, it feels like I'm part of the competition. I actually do want each one of them to succeed when I'm choreographing, and that's what's so important."
Clearly Sims is doing something right.
"I just want to give Jamal his flowers because he works tirelessly and endlessly," said Michelle Visage, a senior producer and judge on the show, and Ru's righthand. "Some of the queens have never done a step in their life and he makes sure that they have got it down, so they're comfortable and they're showing the best of what they can do. He does so much more that he is letting on."
