Ellen DeGeneres's optics took another hit when Caitlyn Jenner swiped at the beleaguered talk show host on this past Tuesday's finale episode of the Aussie reality show "Big Brother VIP," reports the Daily Mail.

The source of the feud is Jenner's appearance on "The Ellen Show" in 2015, where she discussed her transitioning. When DeGeneres pressed her on same-sex marriage, Jenner said: "I kind of like tradition, and it's always been a man and a woman, and I'm thinking 'I don't quite get it,'" But adding she didn't want to "stand in front of anybody's happiness."

DeGeneres pushed back, saying she thought Jenner sounded like she still wasn't "on board with it." To which Jenner replied, "It's going to be, pretty much, the law of the land, so I feel like I'm OK with it."

"I didn't think [Ellen] would respond the way she did," Jenner said in a previously unseen clip on "Big Brother VIP." "And then she goes to me, 'Well it sounds like you're really not for it.' And I said, 'No, I just said I'm for gay marriage.' The next week, she goes on Howard Stern's show... and says I was against gay marriage and absolutely burnt my ass. And so, in the media, I got really tough on her."

"In a previously unseen clip, the 72-year-old said she even tried to stop her children and stepchildren appearing on her talk show, in an act of revenge over the pair's war of words in the press," writes the Daily Mail.

In the clip, she admits to calling her then-wife, Kris Jenner, asking if they should stop "any of the kids from being on Ellen." But Kris nixed the idea, and Caitlyn thought better of it later.

Jenner shares biological daughters Kendall Jenner, 25, and Kylie Jenner, 24, with ex-wife Kris, 66, and four step-children, Kim Kardashian, 41, Kourtney Kardashian, 42, Khloe Kardashian, 37 and Rob Kardashian, 34.

"To make her position clear, the former athlete came out in support of gay marriage in a blog post in September 2015, writing that 'everyone should be able to marry the person they love," reports the Daily Mail.
