JK Rowling Slams Trans-Rights 'Activist Actors' Who Doxxed Her
JK Rowling's relationship with the transgender community continues to sour. On Monday, the "Harry Potter" author took to Twitter to slam transgeder-rights activists for allegedly posting a photo of her address to social media, reported The Daily Beast.
"Last Friday, my family's address was posted on Twitter by three activist actors who took pictures of themselves in front of our house," Rowling wrote on Twitter. "I want to say a massive thank you to everybody who reported the image to Twitter Support. Your kindness and decency made all the difference to my family and me. I'd also like to thank [the Scotland police] for their support and assistance in this matter."
She continued, "I implore those people who retweeted the image with the address still visible, even if they did so in condemnation of these people's actions, to delete it."
According to the Post Millennial, drag performer Holly Stars posted the photo but took it down after the post received an overwhelming amount of transphobic responses in the comments.
"Yesterday we posted a picture we took at J.K. Rowling's house," Stars shared online. "While we stand by the photo, since posting it we have received an overwhelming amount of serious and threatening transphobic messages. .. .Decided to take the photo down. Love to our trans siblings."
Since the initial success of the "Harry Potter" series of books and movies, Rowling has backed herself into an anti-trans corner with a series of questionable actions and public statements that started last year.
Most recently her views have seen her left out of the planned "Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts" on HBO Max.
