"RuPaul's Drag Race" judge Ross Mathews took to Instagram Tuesday to announce that he is engaged.

The 41-year-old comedian shared a photo of himself and his partner, who he identified as Dr. Wellington García, on Instagram, marking the first time Mathews introduced him to his fans.

"Fiancé, you stay!" he wrote, adding a diamond ring emoji. "I am so proud to announce that after over a year together - navigating a pandemic, quarantine and opposite coasts - the smartest, funniest and kindest man I've ever met said, 'Yes!' Dr. García, I love you. A lifetime of adventure awaits."

Mathews also appeared on the "Drew Barrymore" talkshow where he talked a bit more about Dr. García, saying that he is an educator, that they met about a year ago and he "changed my life."

"He's hilarious and the smartest person I'v ever met. Beyoncé says, 'If you like it, should put a ring on it,'" he continued, referencing the pop star's "Single Ladies" song. "Well, I did! And I am announcing right now!"

That's when Barrymore pulled out streamers and champagne to celebrate and congratulated Mathews, saying, "You guys met in this last year, which to me is such an amazing sing for people."

Mathews went on to say he met Dr. García "right before the pandemic and we had to date through quarantine, making those Zoom dates and eventually traveling and being together and making it work."

"I've been so private about this relationship and it feel so weird because I tell you guys everything on this show and my podcast," he said.

In November 2018, Mathews announced that he and his longtime boyfriend Salvador Camarena were splitting up after nearly 10 years together.
