A suspect in Britain who tricked several straight men into having sex with him while believing they were having heterosexual encounters has been sentenced to 15 years in jail, media reports say.

As reported last month at EDGE, Duarte Xavier places ads on Tindr and other dating apps in which he posed as a housewife looking to pass some time with interested men.

But the ads included an unusual requirement: A blindfold.

"Be my obedient toy," a message from someone posting under the name Anna reportedly instructed on an app called Lovoo. But one man who took Anna up on the offer of an extremely anonymous hookup wasn't completely obedient: He peeked while in the midst of receiving oral sex.

"I saw this man with a beard," the man told a British court.

Xavier allegedly deceived three other men, various media sources reported, with one of them also receiving oral sex. Two men purportedly had anal intercourse with Xavier that they believed to be vaginal.

One of those two men related that he'd been invited to go to a park, don a blindfold, and wait for a woman to meet him there. When his date arrived, the two spoke. After an interval of "quite pleasant" oral sex, the man suggested they have intercourse there in the park, and the other individual — who had a "feminine" voice, he said — initially hesitated but then agreed.

Xavier's attorney characterized the encounter as a form of "role play," in which both parties knew no woman was involved.

But the court did not buy into that explanation, reported UK newspaper The Independent, and handed down a sentence of a decade and a half.

"You have been found guilty of what can only be described as a campaign of deception and obtaining sex by pretending that you were a woman," judge Michael Hunter told Xavier. The judge went on to say, "I have taken into account your deliberate and cruel tactics that you carefully used to subject your victims to this activity" in the sentencing.

One of Xavier's purported victims told the court that he now suffers from PTSD after being tricked into sex with Xavier, another UK newspaper, The Daily Mail, related.

"It was supposed to be a bit of honest fun between two consenting adults," the man said. "I now have extreme stress, anxiety, panic attacks and depression."
